With the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date finally here in the United States and multiple regions around the globe, buyers are likely weighing all of their options. And now that the 5.96-inch Nexus 6 has been officially announced and confirmed, with a release quickly approaching, buyers have a tough choice for which big phone to buy.

Google’s Nexus 6 and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 are both big phones, phablets, and a big phone isn’t for everyone. That being said, it’s a growing trend in the smartphone market these days that isn’t going away. This weekend a new Nexus 6 video surfaced giving prospective buyers an idea of what to expect.

Back in September Samsung announced its latest Galaxy Note 4 and last week Google officially unveiled its Nexus 6, two large smartphones aimed at the phablet market, and to take on the new iPhone 6 Plus. If you’ve been debating which phone is right for you, the CarphoneWarehouse hands-on video below will give you a good idea before you buy.

As a quick refresh before we get to the video, both of these phones are massive. How big? Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD (or 2K) display, and it’s rather large. However, many were concerned the Nexus 6 would be massive considering Google’s tossed a 6-inch screen on it.

The Nexus 6 actually has a 5.96-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display too, as well as dual front facing speakers. Add in a huge battery that’s the exact same size as the Note 4 (3,220 mAh) and many were worried that it would be a massive phablet. Thankfully though, Google and Motorola managed to keep the overall size quite slim given all the specs. The bezels are thin, and the device is only a hair taller and wider than the Note 4.

For those interested in a new phone this holiday season debating between the Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus, or something like the impressive new Nexus 6 with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, the new video below is worth watching.

As we can see, both phones are pretty big. However, you’ll notice the 6-inch screen and dual speakers don’t take that much space on the Nexus 6. In fact, it’s barely bigger than the Note 4, even though it has a larger screen and tons of additional features on board.

The Nexus 6 does come in at 10mm thick, which is thicker than most smartphones as of late. It won’t have any “bendgate” issues like Apple, and the curved back subtly wraps into the aluminum sides and makes it feel much slimmer in the hand than it actually is. That makes it feel better, doesn’t seem as thick, and makes it very easy and comfortable to grip during usage.

The hands-on video also touches on a few of the features users can expect to enjoy from both devices. Of course Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is Google’s latest completely overhauled version of Android is on the Nexus 6, and it has a lot to offer. The guy mentions improved performance across the board, a beautiful interface, and even talks about the camera. Claiming the weak link in Nexus phones (the camera) isn’t the case with the 13 megapixel OIS packing Nexus 6, and it actually beats the Note 4 in low light situations.

He then talks about a few features of the Note 4 like the heart rate sensor, fingerprint scanner, and of course the S-Pen stylus for content creation. Samsung has a lot to offer too, but you’ll need to take some time learning about all the features. That said, there’s plenty of new stuff in Android 5.0 you can see from our Nexus 5 initial impressions and hands-on.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available on all major US carriers but Verizon as of right now, and the new Nexus 6 is slated to arrive on all carriers within the first few weeks of November. We’re hearing a nationwide rollout around November 12th, so the wait is nearly over. Which big phone will you be buying?

Nexus 6, no wait the Note 4. No, definitely the Nexus 6. OHHH. I have a Note 2 now, love large phones. I was positive on the Note 4, but it’s release came just late enough for me to notice the Nexus 6. I’m waiting until I can hold both in my hands and evaluate them. The display on the N4 is gorgeous, much better than the N6…

Note 4 so easily it’s comical no competition here. Nobody needs a useless featureless unproven stock android phablet it serves no legitimate purpose.

The proven legitimate product worldwide since August 2011 is the GOLD standard of technology today the Galaxy Note products.

At the end of the day Galaxy Note owners already know what they got while silly Nexus 6 users are wondering what they are going to get.
