WWE 2K15 Release Date: 5 Things Buyers Need to Know

The WWE 2K15 release date arrives on Tuesday October 28th, finally bringing the highly anticipated wrestling game to consoles, but not all consoles just yet.

Before you get too excited about the WWE 2K15 release date you’ll want to make sure the game is coming to your console today, and not in a few weeks.

While most players are waiting for the WWE 2K15 release date, an early copy landed in the hands of Brian12Extreme who shares a match up between The Rock and CM Punk in WWE 2K15.

This 13-minute WWE 2K15 Royal Rumble for shows off some of the new game, but there is a wait for the WWE 2K15 PS4 and Xbox One release that should deliver better looking gameplay for the newest consoles.

Here’s a fast look at five things buyers need to know as the WWE 2K15 release date arrives for some consoles and the anticipation builds for others.

You can buy WWE 2K15 on Amazon for $59.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3 for delivery this week and on Xbox One and Ps4 for delivery on November 18th.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 WWE 2K15 release arrives on October 28th in the U.S. and on October 31st internationally. IN September 2K Sports announced a delayed release for the newest consoles. At this point the Xbox One and PS4 WWE 2K15 release date remains on track for November 18th.

“Visual Concepts and Yuke’s are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles,” said Greg Thomas, President, Visual Concepts in the announcement on 2K explaining the reason for a delay, “The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations.”

WWE 2K15 Deals

There are no major WWE 2K15 deals to be found, but if you buy this game at Best Buy you can add Gamer’s Club Unlocked to your purchase for just $30. Normally Gamer’s Club Unlocked is $120 for a two-year subscription, but when you purchase a game $39.99 or higher at Best Buy this week you get the subscription for just $30.

The biggest benefit is 20% off of new games, and it should start with WWE 2K15, dropping the price to $48. If you also pre-ordered the game you can stack the $10 reward certificate dropping the price to $38 before tax.

WWE 2K15 MyCarrer or Who Got NXT

The WWE 2K15 release for Xbox 360 and PS3 does not include the new MyCareer mode. Instead gamers can play Who Got NXT, which is a superstar mode that unlocks characters, moves and more inside WWE 2K15.

This is not the same as the MyCareer mode for Xbox 360 or PS3, but with the opportunity to take five superstars up against other top wrestlers including John Cena, it looks like a fun option for gamers who are not on one of the newest consoles.

The WWE 2K15 MyCareer mode lets gamers create a superstar and then start from the bottom to work their way up to the top of WWE to win a championship.

When 2K came to the WWE Performance Center and I got to see the graphics and the gameplay, seeing the WWE Performance Center on-screen in a video game world blew my mind,” Sami Zayn said to WWE.com. “Right down to Bill DeMott at ringside, coaching you, getting in your head. I mean, I couldn’t believe it.”

WWE 2K15 Rosters

The WWE 2K15 release dates don’t arrive at the same time, but you can still play as the same wrestlers on all platforms. Aside from the MyCareer GMs in the Xbox One and PS4 WWE 2K15 release, the rosters are the same.

WWE 2K15 Hulkamania Edition

If you are waiting for the WWE 2K15 release on PS4 and Xbox One, you may want to splurge on the WWE 2K15 Hulkamania edition that includes special packaging, special players and a special momento.

When you buy the WWE 2K15 Hulkamania edition it includes, “Exclusive piece of authentic ring canvas from Hulk Hogan’s Monday Night Raw appearance on March 10, 2014 in Memphis, TN.”

The WWE 2K15 Hulkamania edition retails for $99, but it is hard to find in stock now. It looks like the WWE 2k15 Hulkamania edition is sold out, with pre-orders selling for as much as $160 on eBay.
