The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release is odd due to the day early access and it’s also one of a growing number of games arriving at 12:01 AM Eastern, after many digital downloads started on Pacific time, making them an unattractive option for any gamer in the Midwest or on the East coast.

The earlier download time and the day early access likely combined to deliver these GameStop Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release problems for the digital downloads.

You can try to check the purchase history, using the guide on this GameStop help page, but even then some users see an error.

The common problem is,

“Your Download Code is unavailable until your order review is complete. You will be notified via email with further instructions.”

The order page shows, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Status Verifying. Instead of offering gamers the code they need to download Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on their consoles.

So apparently people are getting codes for their 360 pre orders, but the code is only 60 dollars of ms credits, not enough to buy the game after taxes

I physically went to gamestop a week ago, and pre-ordered my code for COD AW day zero edition. Came home and installed game to my hard drive from xbox store with code. Waiting anxiously for midnight on Nov. 3rd to launch the game only to find out that the game wouldnt lauch. After hours of trying to figure out the problem, MICROSOFT tells me to uninstall from my hard drive and redownload the game. Which takes about 5 hrs depending on internet speed. So thats where I am right now reinstalling the game and keeping my fingers crossed that it works. So maybe I can salvage something from this bismal unsuccesful launch so far. I think players should be rewarded with something for their misfortune.

    Funny story…

I went to the GS release last night, got my copy of the game, took it home, and began installing it. Thinking I would be proactive, I took out the little slip of paper with the codes on it for the Day Zero stuff to enter it while the game was installing. And low and behold, the code on the slip of paper is 24 digits, not 25 like every code has been for XBox for years. I try entering it anyways, and it doesn’t accept it. HA HA HA, so damn funny, isn’t it?

Usually I buy physical copies of games, but since my brother has a 360 and I have a one we figured we should do the free game upgrade. He bought and downloaded it just fine on his 360, but when i go to the xbox one store (on the account the game was bought on) it says unavailable and for the day zero edition (the only one thats available for me) it doesnt recognize he bought it… What the hell do I do?!

Same issue as Rachel. Purchased the digital version so that I could play with my buddies that haven’t upgraded to the One yet. Works fine on my 360 but won’t allow the install on One without paying again.

    > Preordered the digital download for 360 from GameStop.
    > Didn’t get the code until 7AM on the 3rd. > Redeemed code, now I have a $60 credit on my MS account.
    > Okay, a little weird, but I can work with this.
    > Attempted purchasing the game, turns out I don’t have enough to cover the taxes.
    > Way to go, everyone. All I wanted was to play Day Zero on my birthday.
