13 New Galaxy Note Edge Release Date Details

New Samsung Galaxy Note Edge release date details have emerged today and they help to pinpoint exactly where the Galaxy Note Edge release date will take place in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Two months ago, Samsung executives took to the stage at Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 to announce a number of new products. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was put into the spotlight, Samsung also announced its new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, a device that shares many of the Galaxy Note 4′s features but comes with a curved display.

At the event, Samsung detailed the Galaxy Note Edge specs and it released vague details about the Galaxy Note Edge release date. Over the past two months, the company, and a series of leaks, have finally detailed the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge release date in specific countries and the elusive Samsung Galaxy Note Edge price.

Last week, the Galaxy Note Edge went on sale in the United States for the first time. AT&T currently has the device in select stores and it’s taking Galaxy Note Edge pre-orders ahead of a November 14th release date that’s expected to encompass T-Mobile and Sprint. The U.S. Galaxy Note Edge release date is important but it’s not the only Galaxy Note Edge release that Samsung has up its sleeve and today, new details have emerged for buyers in other parts of the world.

Thanks to SamMobile, we now know where Samsung plans to release the Galaxy Note Edge, a device that’s a limited edition concept and one that’s not expected to touch down for a widespread number of regions like the Galaxy Note 4. While these details don’t come from Samsung itself, they come from a reliable source and should be considered accurate.

This new list of Galaxy Note Edge release countries runs down some regions that are already confirmed to be getting the Galaxy Note Edge. The list includes the United Kingdom, Russia, India, and Australia. All of these countries were confirmed several weeks ago and this new information serves as another confirmation for buyers in those areas.

We’re also seeing a number of other countries though. Denmark, Kazakhstan, Germany, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, France, Nordic countries, Austria and Portugal will all be getting the Galaxy Note Edge at some point in the future as will Singapore and Nepal. Oddly enough China is not listed here even though Samsung seemed to confirm it as a launch region many weeks ago. Canada, another region where the Galaxy Note Edge release is confirmed, is not listed either. Samsung confirmed a Galaxy Note Edge release date for 2015 though a specific date hasn’t been nailed down.

It appears that Denmark will get the Galaxy Note Edge on December 12th, or, several weeks after the U.S. Galaxy Note Edge release. It’s not clear if these other countries will cluster around Denmark’s date or if they will get the device later in 2014 or in 2015. As expected, the Galaxy Note Edge price will be in and around €899, a steep price for a smartphone. In the U.S., the Galaxy Note Edge will cost $399 on-contract and more than $800 off-contract.

As for the rest of the U.S. Galaxy Note Edge release date, U.S. Cellular and Verizon also confirmed the Galaxy Note Edge though it’s not clear if they will release the device on November 14th, or some other date. We do know that the Verizon Galaxy Note Edge release date is inching closer given that it recently passed its GCF certification, one of the final steps needed ahead of its release. Neither device has cleared the FCC though which could lead to a delay of some kind.

Verizon is known for releasing smartphones late and the Galaxy Note Edge release date could emerge in the days and weeks after the initial November 14th release. U.S. Cellular typically releases phones in and around the same time and at the same price as major carriers which means we could see it release the Galaxy Note Edge for $399.99 on-contract. Look for these details to be confirmed soon.

AT&T will be releasing the Edge on Nov 18th. I was able to check one out in store yesterday and I must admit it is a VERY nice AND cool looking device. It goes for $100 more than the Note 4. Not sure if it’s worth that much more but it definitely has me thinking about it. It’s pretty slick. I do think that everyone will need to put it in their hands as some may not like the whole screen on the side thing, especially left handers supposedly. I found that less of an issue than I thought it would be. I have no idea how much of an advantage it will be having the edge screen but it gets 10’s for cool factor. SO much better than the blah blah iPhone 6.
