We've spent a great deal of time with Samsung's brand new Galaxy Tab S and we like it so much that we think it's a top notch competitor for the iPad Air. You would be wise to take a look at it before committing to Apple.

Samsung's new 10-inch Galaxy Tab S comes loaded with features including an absolutely gorgeous display, a design that is reminiscent of the Galaxy S5's, a good camera, and the company's Magazine UX which is a vast improvement over previous versions of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. Best of all, it should get Google's new Android 5.0 Lollipop update down the road.

It's cheaper than the iPad Air and if you or your loved one can stomach Google's Android operating system, it's a viable alternative to Apple's 9.7-inch slate.
