Extras for GTA 5 for PC Buyers Are a Steal

Rockstar Games, developer of the Grand Theft Auto series of games delayed GTA 5 for PC by a whopping two months, but it’s giving potential buyers even more reasons to get their pre-orders in for the game now. Starting today, anyone who pre-orders GTA 5 for PC can expect $1 million in in-game cash and even a free game.

The GTA 5 for PC pre-order deals kick off today, according to Rockstar Newswire, the game developer’s blog. Anyone who purchases a physical or digital copy of GTA 5 for PC will get $500,000 to spend on their characters in GTA 5’s single player and another $500,000 to spend on their custom character in GTA Online, Grand Theft Auto 5’s multiplayer experience. The cash can be used for cars, weapons, planes and hideouts. Again, these perks are for anyone who purchases a digital or physical copy of the game.

Separately, there are some extra perks for anyone who purchases the digital version of GTA 5 for PC through Steam. These users can another $300,000 in GTA Online cash to buy extras. On top of that, Rockstar is giving these users a free digital download. Included in the offer are Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto 4, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Manhunt, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Midnight Club 2 and Grand Theft Auto 3. Rockstar says that more than just Steam should begin offering digital pre-orders of GTA 5 for PC.

GTA 5 is one of the most highly anticipated PC games coming this calendar year. It’s not a new title – GTA 5 debuted on the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2014. Really, the main attraction is GTA Online. Rockstar gives out free passes to GTA Online with every copy of GTA 5 the sell. GTA Online is a persistent world, where uses create characters descended from the characters in the game story. This mode takes place in Los Santos, the same place that the story mode does. The difference is that practically anything goes. There are races to compete in, planes to jump out of and robberies to commit.

By the time the game launches, users will be able to team up with their friends in GTA Online for Heists, longer complicated missions that require setup and prep work before completing. A single GTA Online player will finance and lead heist mission while others will make money too. It’s GTA Online’s most anticipated mission type and it’s also coming to other versions of the game. Rockstar says that Heists will launch on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 before GTA 5 for PC makes it to store shelves.

Rockstar had similar incentives for buyers of GTA 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One. They also got a large sum of in-game cash. These three latest versions of the game have upgraded graphics so the sky looks more realistic and there’s more shrubbery around Los Santos. Rockstar shocked everyone late last year when it unveiled a new first-player mode that allow users to experience Los Santos in a new way. GTA 5 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 are the first games in the Grand Theft Auto series to incorporate first-person camera angles.
