Today Dish Network announced its brand new Sling TV service has finally arrived in the United States. No more invites are needed, and today is the official Sling TV release date in the US allowing millions of cord-cutters the chance to take back cable and get TV for a low price.

Earlier this year at CES 2015 Dish announced a brand new product called Sling TV. This impressive new service is a $20 a month subscription and companion app that lets you watch a collection of live TV including ESPN online on your Xbox One, Amazon Fire TV, Nexus Player, Roku, Mac, PC, as well as both Android and iOS without a regular cable subscription.

Starting today users can sign up for Sling TV for only $20 a month, which delivers some of the most award-winning TV channels from all major categories, movies on demand, and more all for a low price with no subscription. The best part of today’s new though, is a 7-day free trail offer, new TV channels, and sports packages making Sling TV even more enticing than it already was. Read on for more details.

So what is Sling TV? It’s a $20 a month (or more if you add select additional channels) service that lets you essentially watch tons of live TV, rent movies, and more, all from an array of devices that you’d usually never be able to. Rather than pay an overpriced cable provider for a bundle of channels you’ll never use, they offer the basics in one easy solution for multiple devices.

You’re able to watch real live TV (with pause and rewind) on any Android or iOS device, a computer or laptop, Roku devices and more. Then, in the next few weeks they’ll be adding support for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, and Nexus Player. Essentially allowing you to watch live TV anywhere, all for a low price.

The best news though, is that in additional to over a dozen channels the core $20 a month service now features a channel many can probably appreciate, AMC. This means you can get your Walking Dead fix anywhere, from an array of devices. Or check out the brand new Better Call Saul spin-off of Breaking Bad. Here’s the full lineup of what Sling TV offers, with pricing and bundles.

Starting Package ($20 a month)
ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN, El Rey, Galavision, Maker Network.

While it isn’t the 1000 channels some regular providers offer, it does deliver some of the essentials than many which they could get separate, without paying a huge cable bill. Offering popular channels like ESPN, TNT, TBS, ABC Family, Disney, and a few others. Selecting a few from each popular category when it comes to live TV. All of this is $20 a month, and can be streamed to any of the devices mentioned above. It’s basically Netflix for TV and movies, and works wonderfully.

In additional to the channels mentioned above in the starting core package, users can add these additional options to their Sling TV account for a small charge.

Sports Extra ($5 a month)
ESPN News, ESPN U, SEC ESPN Network, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Bases Loaded, ESPN Goal Line. Universal Sports, Bein Sports

Those looking for more sports channels and WatchESPN support can now get everything mentioned above for an additional $5 a month. Meaning you’ll have all those channels for only $25 a month, with no subscription, and be able to watch it anywhere.

Kids Extra ($5 a month)
Disney Junior, Disney XD, Boomerang, Baby TV and Duck TV

News and Information Extra ($5 a month)
DIY Channel, Cooking Channel, Bloomberg and HLN

Today’s announcement means that anyone in the United States can get Sling TV starting at just $20 a month, and add an array of channels above all for a low price. Spending just $35 a month by adding all the premium packages above will deliver enough channels to cover most users needs, all without the bloating, bundles, and overpriced options from cable companies.

Sling TV has been rather impressive so far from our limited time with it, even if the On-Demand movie rentals are priced a bit too high, but it has so much to offer it’s hard not to try for $20 a month. Again, this is contract and subscription free live TV on an array of devices all for a low price. We’re expecting more news and channels to arrive in the near future, as well as support for more devices. Check out the Sling TV FAQ page for more details.
