iPad Pro Rumors Heat Up with New Leaked Case

Published

on

iPad Pro rumors have been gaining steam over the last few weeks, and it seems case leaks are the new hot topic.

French site nowhereelse.fr has leaked a photo of what appears to be another iPad Pro case, and it gives us a peek at what the new tablet could be like.

The images provided give us a size reference to an iPad Air 2 case, with the iPad Pro case being much larger obviously, essentially making the iPad Air 2 look like the iPad mini.

What’s perhaps more interesting this time around is that the case doesn’t have the SIM card cut-out on the side compared to the first case leak we saw, suggesting that this could be a case for a WiFi-only iPad Pro.

Furthermore, this new leaked case’s design leaves the top and bottom edges exposed, meaning that there isn’t a need for holes for the speakers, which doesn’t show us if the iPad Pro will have stereo speakers on the top and bottom. However, there are cut-outs for the obvious power button, volume buttons, camera, and microphone.

Of course, we’d take these leaked cases with a huge grain of salt, as many case manufacturers come up with case designs solely based on rumors, which means that this could be nothing more than just a concept iPad Pro case for a device that doesn’t even exist at all.

The iPad Pro is one device that many people have been looking forward to, but Apple has yet to make it official. Rumors have been floating around for quite a while, but we’ve heard a few rumors just recently, suggesting that the tablet is somewhat close to an official launch.

Past rumors have suggested that the iPad Pro will come with a 12.9-inch display and will measure in at around 7mm, which is crazy thin for a tablet of that size.

Furthermore, the new tablet is rumored to come with stereo speakers, thanks to the addition of two more speakers at the top of the device rather than just at the bottom, allowing for better sound quality.

If the iPad Pro does indeed see the light of day, it will most likely be aimed at professionals, such as photographers, designers, architects, etc. Of course, the iPad is already a useful device in these professions, but a version with a larger screen and faster internals could be an even better device for such users.

Other than the rumored release timeline, we don’t know much about this fabled iPad Pro. We heard late last year that the device would have a Retina display, but would come with an ever higher resolution than the current resolution found on today’s iPad’s, making the iPad Pro one of the highest resolution displays on the market if it releases.

It’s also rumored that the iPad Pro could get a stylus as an accessory option, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has been accurate with many Apple rumors in the past.

Kuo says that “given that it’s more precise than a person’s fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use than the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. Therefore, we believe Apple’s stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad.”
