The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is confirmed for April 10th. The Galaxy S6 Edge release date is also confirmed for April 10th. April 10th doesn’t represent the release date for every country around the world, however. Instead, the April 10th release date is the first day that the two devices will go on sale. Samsung, once again, will leave it up to individual carriers to confirm their specific release details.

The U.S. Galaxy S6 release date and U.S. Galaxy S6 Edge release date remain unconfirmed though the two devices will be heading to all five major carriers including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon. It’s not clear yet if it will be heading to smaller regional and pre-paid carriers though historically, the Galaxy S has landed for an assortment of carriers in the U.S.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 will come in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Blue Topaz while the Galaxy S6 Edge will come in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Green Emerald. It’s not clear if U.S. carriers will offer all of those colors from the start. As we inch closer to the Galaxy S6 release date, we should find out more about their plans for both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

As expected, Samsung will release the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at its Samsung Experience stores inside Best Buy locations. We’ve already seen some Best Buy stores start their prep work ahead of the Galaxy S6 release date so it should only be a matter of time before the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge land in physical retail locations.

The company’s also confirmed the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for Amazon, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart. The devices will also be sold inside physical carrier stores.

Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S6 price or the Galaxy S6 Edge price and we expect to see those details emerge once carriers start outlining their plans for the Galaxy S6 release date. Carriers often offer pre-orders for flagship Android phones though we haven’t seen any Samsung Galaxy S6 pre-order details confirmed ahead of its arrival.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with an assortment of upgrades including a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 577 ppi, Exynos 7 octo-core processor from Samsung, 32/64/128GB of storage with no microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop with a new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, a 16MP camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, Cat.6 LTE, and a 2550 mAh (Galaxy S6) and 2600 mAh battery (S6 Edge).

Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge will come with similar specifications though its will feature a unique curved display that bends down over the two sides of the phone. Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge eschew plastic in favor of a bold new design that features a combination of metal and glass that also features Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4.

Look for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge release details to continue to emerge in the days and weeks leading up to the company’s confirmed April 10th release date.

I did not buy the note 4 due to the lack of IP67 waterproof standards. I was hoping on buying the S6 to replace my S5 sport. But honestly, the S6 lacks all but 1 of my favorite features. No IP67, no SD card, no removable battery, which only leaves one, OLED.

I WILL NOT get a phone that doesn’t have a memory card slot EVER. I have entirely too much media (music, etc) to put on one. Offering one with 128GB of internal storage isn’t enough to get me to stray from it.

What could have been the best cellphone is now lost. If I wanted an Iphone I would have bought one. Non- removable Battery (becomes a Paper Weight). No SD card equals (Corporate gouging)….HTC One M9 is now in love with you.
