One of the most anticipated games of the year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, is now available for owners of Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PS4 to order ahead of release day.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date pre-orders began on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PS4 consoles late yesterday, just a day after publisher Activision confirmed the game’s November 6th release date and showed off what players can expect. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 pre-orders are important as they’re the only way gamers will be able to participate in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta that publisher Activision and developer Treyarch have in store.

For PS4 owners, The PlayStation Store is offering two extras for those who place their Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 basic digital pre-orders now: a special Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 theme for their console and a special Bonus Pack. Unfortunately, we know next to nothing about that Bonus Pack. This version costs $59.99. For those who are willing to spend $99.99 on the new game there’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Digital Deluxe Edition. this version of the game includes the same extras as the basic digital pre-order but, also throws in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 season pass. That Season Pass normally costs $49.99 separately. Season Passes grant players access to any downloadable content added to a game after release. For example, with the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass buyers got access to new map packs as they became available.

In Microsoft’s Xbox Store the same two versions of the game are available for pre-order with slightly different extras. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Digital Edition includes the game itself, a personalization pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, two Supply Drops in Call of Duty: Advanced and more content to be announced. That same page also says that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Digital Deluxe Edition includes the game itself, a season pass, a Black Ops 3 themed Personalization Pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, two Advanced Supply Drops for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and more things to be announced at a later date. The pricing on these versions are the same, with the standard version selling for $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe edition selling for $99.99.

Video game retailer GameStop is also discussing its Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 pre-order plans. The structure and pricing of their Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 copies matches what’s available through the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Network except that buyers there also get an exclusive poster with their pre-order. GameStop does note that those posters are “extremely limited.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set in the distant future where biotechnology has become a weapon of mass destruction in its own right. Instead of creating powerful gear for their soldiers, governments are now replacing entire body parts with cybernetic enhancements that allow them to do super-human things. In the reveal trailer this past weekend we saw characters double jumping to reach distances they normally couldn’t and run faster than what’s average, all because of these enhancements. Swimming, sprinting and wall-running are all mechanics included in this game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will have three very different parts when it launches on November 6th. Like all games in the series, there’ll be a campaign and a multiplayer experience. Treyarch says that campaign was designed to be played by a single person or cooperatively with some else. The game will also include a dedicated Zomibie Mode for buyers to enjoy separately.
