While some companies have begun offering massive phablets with 6-inch displays, the Galaxy Note series has maintained a reasonable 5.7-inch screen size. The Galaxy Note 4 display is big but it's not going to be unwieldy for most people. 

That's why it's so exciting to see Galaxy Note 5 rumors point a similar size screen. Right now, the panel is thought to be somewhere between 5.9-inches and 5.7-inches. Samsung could be testing several different screen sizes.

Nothing is confirmed but it looks like the company has found its sweet spot. 5.7-inches is large enough for those that want tons of real estate for content and the S Pen and it's small enough that it doesn't alienate average users. 

This size would keep pace with the iPhone 6 Plus and perhaps, the iPhone 6s Plus, a rumored successor to the iPhone 6 Plus that's expected to arrive this fall with a 5.5-inch Retina Display with upgrades.
