You may think that Google Maps is for drivers to find their way around in their cars, but it's also a great tool for bikers.

Google Maps has a layer that you can enable that shows you all of the bike paths that you can take in your city or wherever you happen to be at the time. You can also get turn-by-turn directions specifically for biking, which tells you how long it will take to get to your destination and will route you on the safest roads.

I've used Google Maps several times already this season, mostly because we moved to a new area and needed to find my way around while I was on an afternoon bike ride. However, it can incredibly useful when you need directions or want to know where all of the bike paths are located.
