The Elder Scrolls Online PS4 and Xbox release has been a long time coming. While the game has been available for PC and Mac users for a number of months, Bethesda delayed the Xbox One and PS4 release so that they could deliver a better product for the popular consoles.

In the months since that delay, we’ve seen a number of key release details emerge including the game’s release date which is set for June 9th in the United States. Details continue to flow ahead of the game’s big release date and there’s a lot that prospective buyers need to know about the release.

We expect to hear more as we push deeper into May and into June but these are the details that we think all console owners need to know in the buildup to E3 2015 and the June 9th release.

Elder Scrolls Online PS4 & Xbox One Subscription

The first and maybe the most important thing you need to about the Elder Scrolls Online PS4 & Xbox One release is that you won't need to pay a monthly subscription to play the game.

When Elder Scrolls Online was first release for the PC and Mac, the developers charged a monthly subscription (think WoW) for the privledge of playing the game online. The companies involved have since done away with the subscription service.

The game is now being branded as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited because, well, you're able to buy the game and play as much as you want. The game will command a $60 price tag from the outset though buyers will be able to find Elder Scrolls Online deals for both PS4 and Xbox One.
