In addition to downloading and installing their copy of the game today, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt players should install the Beard & Hairstyle Set and the Termerian Armor Set. Both add-ons for the game are absolutely free in the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store.

The free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt downloadable content arrived last night, just as the game itself was beginning to roll out worldwide. The Termerian Armor Set adds some impressive armor for Geralt, the monster hunter that users play as in the game. The Beard and Hairstyle Set lets users customize their Geralt’s facial hair. The armor set includes a jacket, gloves, pants, boots and armor for your mount.

Xbox One owners can download the free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt content from the console’s built-in Xbox Store. Navigating to the Games area and selecting the title under new releases should bring up a list of add-on content. Those with a Kinect sensor can simply say, “Xbox, Bing” and “The Witcher 3.” Searching the PlayStation Store should get gamers the content too.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the first hotly anticipated title of the summer gaming season. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt focuses on Geralt, a monster hunter that players can customize to their liking almost completely. Though Geralt is called on to save the world he knows after its attacked by a dangerous enemy, The Wild Hunt.

As a role-playing game, character customization is key. Besides these add-on packs, the game allows users to make Geralt their own in tons of different ways. Every decision they make for him has an effect on the game world and the story.

Also key to the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt experience is the world itself. Whereas other games take large words and break them up into smaller maps, the game’s developer, CD Projekt Red, designed the world Geralt inhabits to feel alive. Even something as small as killing a dangerous animal has repercussions.

The in-game world has its own day and night cycle complete with radiant sunsets. There are underwater areas to explore and cave systems to investigate. Geralt himself even grows a bear depending on the last time he had a shave. CD Projekt Red poured tons of details into this game.

To be clear, expansions aren’t a part of the free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt content that users can download today. To get those users will need to purchase them individually as they arrive as digital downloads or invest in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass that’s available for $24.99. Those who haven’t purchased the game already can pick up a digital copy and an expansion pass for $84.99 together. Only the $60 disc and digital versions of the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Xbox One and PS4 are available at retailer GameStop for purchase today.

Unfortunately, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t coming to last-generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3. It is available on Windows PCs.

Summer release season continues in a few weeks with another high-profile game launch for the Wii U, which isn’t getting a copy of The Witcher 3 of its own. Splatoon, an online arena shooter that tasks players with covering each other and entire levels in ink, launched on May 29th. Next month Warner Brothers, which publishes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has its biggest release of the summer planned: Batman: Akrham Knight. That game will also only be available on the Xbox One, Windows PCs and the PS4.
