9to5Mac reports that Angela Ahdrendts, head of Apple's retail division is committed to the hype and spectacle of a major Apple release date in stores. In a memo from early April Ahdrendts stated,

"Are we going to launch every product this way from now on? No. We all love those blockbuster Apple product launch days—and there will be many more to come."
