Galaxy Note 5 vs. Galaxy S6: 5 Things to Know in May

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge both use Samsung's in-house Exynos 7 Octa chip and those of you hoping for a return to Qualcomm's Snapdragon series might be disappointed. Galaxy Note 5 rumors point to an updated Exynos CPU and not a chip from Qualcomm.

The Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to have some improvements up its sleeve that should help to make it even more powerful than the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Rumors point to a Exynos 7422 chip which will supposedly be the company’s first all-in-one solution that combines CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and modem on a single chip. Samsung always replaces its old processors with new processors so this change makes a ton of sense. 

A upgraded processor could provide enhanced battery life (something the Note series is known for), better graphics, and more. This is something to keep an eye on as we push deeper into the year. The Galaxy Note 5 is shaping up to be a powerful phone.
