Finally, we know a lot of people are excited about potential iOS 8.4 and iOS 9 jailbreak releases for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. And while one looks promising, the other does not. An iOS 8.4 jailbreak isn't confirmed but we know that developers have been able to jailbreak iOS 8.4. This doesn't confirm a jailbreak but it makes one possible. Jailbreak devs failed to release one for iOS 8.3 and it could be that they're saving their wares for iOS 8.4. We don't know for sure and probably won't know until after Apple releases the software. An iOS 9 jailbreak isn’t confirmed either and new iOS 9 rumors suggest that developers could have a hard time jailbreaking the new software. As we’ve noted, iOS 9's rumored security enhancements could mean that administrative-level users won’t be able to access certain protected files on iOS devices. This includes files that jailbreak developers need access to in order to exploit iOS and create a jailbreak. Jailbreak developers have always found a way around Apple’s security enhancements though iOS 9 could certainly prove to be a big challenge. | ||||||
