The XCOM 2 release date is November 2015. There is no specific date yet, but this is already shaping up to be a big month for games with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and other games arriving in the busy holiday shopping month. Surprisingly there is no XCOM 2 pre-order listing yet on Amazon or on Steam. Steam is currently selling the XCOM: Complete Pack for $14.99 with five games. You can count on more details about the XCOM 2 release date at E3 2015 or in the weeks after this event. The great news is that you don't need to wait until 2016 to play.
