Madden 16 and FIFA 16 aren’t the only big name EA Sports titles coming to Xbox One and PS4 later this year. The Rory McIlroy PGA Tour release date is confirmed for July and in the buildup to its release, we’ve tracked down some new exciting details. With E3 2015 in the rearview mirror, we take a look at what you need to know about the 2015’s most anticipated golf video game.

For several years, Tiger Woods Golf was a fixture in EA Sports’ annual video game lineup. It, along with games like Madden and FIFA, helped the company sell millions of units around the world. And then, after the release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 in 2013, EA pulled the plug on the series. Temporarily.

Last year, the company showed off a new entry into the series that the company called EA Sports PGA Tour. And while the company confirmed that it would be using the Frostbite 3 engine that became popular thanks to the Battlefield series from DICE, it did not reveal much else.

Earlier this year, EA revealed that the game would be called Rory McIlroy PGA Tour and that it would be out in June for PS4 and Xbox One. Shortly before the start of E3 2015, EA confirmed that the Rory McIlroy PGA Tour release date would be pushed to July so that it could further polish its first golf game since 2013.

Since then, we’ve seen a number of new details emerge and today, ahead of next month’s release date, we want to take a look at the most exciting Rory McIlroy PGA Tour details for PS4 and Xbox One.

As a reminder, the Rory McIlroy PGA Tour release date for PS4 and Xbox One is now just a few short days away after a bit of a delay.

After several years of development, the game is set to arrive on July 14th for both current-generation consoles. The Golf Club is available for Xbox One and PS4 but EA's title represents the most exciting golf simulation for these consoles.

It looks like EA has put a ton of effort in in the years since the last Tiger Woods release and we're excited to see how the final product shapes up. We spent many late nights playing Tiger Woods' PGA Tour against friends and people online and we're hopeful that Electronic Arts' new installment does the rest of the series justice.

It's an exciting time if you're a avid gold fan and an Xbox One or PS4 owner.

Really looking forward to this game. I would have expected better pre-booking benefits though.

Best Buy pre-orders also come with the free course. By the way, what is this golf discount, and how does it work?

this game is a rip off. Open your eyes people. Only 8 courses? Are we supposed to be gratefull for the scottdale course if we pre order when it was in the other games. Just a ploy to get people to pre order but how can people be expected to pre order this with so little knowledge or footage about it. Notice this greedy lot havent mentioned the courses anywhere. They are planning to sell the courses as dlc but all the courses that are missing should be in the game. This is more like an expansion pack as a full game and thats being said in all the forums.
To buy this with so few courses is just encouraging greedy companys like this to keep doing this. I was a tiger woods player but this lot are just taking the piss now

These games have really gone downhill. They used to be so good. Now they are in the toilet. This got reviewed at 5.5. Gone are the days of 8 and above. 8 courses is an insult to the loyal fans it had. For shame E A
