Apple Music Streaming

Apple Music Streaming

The new Apple Music app includes the new Apple Music streaming service designed to take on Spotify, Pandora and other services. The iOS 8.4 update enables this new app and includes a free three-month trial of the Apple Music service.

With Apple Music you can pay $9.99 a month for an individual or $14.99 a month for a family of up to six members and enjoy full albums on demand and save music for offline playback.

Apple Music uses your musical tastes to pick new music that you might enjoy listening to in a new For You section of the music app that will help you find new music to listen to. The video above shows how this works.

This new app replaces the Music app from iOS 8 and earlier. Apple is not adding another app you cannot install from the iPhone or iPad, just updating one that is already on your device.

3 things I can’t stand about this update:
    1) you can’t find your saved radio stations.
    2) you don’t get a free 3 month trial unless you pay for the fourth month up front.
    3) no home sharing.

“You may not need all these bugs…”
“We did not run into any problems with this personally…”
“…they might help push you over the fence…”
    You’re 99% there.
As when reading instructions translated from Japanese, it’s the 1% that makes it fun.

I can’t replay all my songs from one artist if they are on different albums. I have to manually go in and start each song individually if they are on different albums which is ridiculous. Used to just hit play on an artist and it would play every song I downloaded by that artist.

Why is the iMessage fix involved in this? shouldn’t it be 8.3.x? That sort of thing should be kept out of software releases that many people don’t want to do just because it’s easier for Apple. No, thanks.

I don’t like this update because in my playlist, i was able to repeat a song or repeat my playlist where i didn’t have to keep restarting to hear the same song or playlist. I used that feature a lot sometimes i like to repeat a song and it would play continuously but now it doesn’t do this and i can’t seem to figure out where it is or did they get rid of it. I went to the apple store today to see if they could help me and they were not help because they didn’t even know what to do. it would be nice when they do these update that they would at least inform the apple employees and support people what they got rid of and how to go about fixing or finding a replacement for what they got rid of. I really liked the feature where i can repeat a song and playlist. and i am not happy about this.

I tried doing what the author said to start a Genius Playlist – it is not there. Is the subscription required to use the Genius feature now?

My iPhone 6 worked just fine, but over the last few days, battery life has suddenly become ridiculously poor. Battery gets drained even if the phone is charging. I have made changes to the settings in the phone, so I will see how it goes.

IOS 8.4.1 is a nightmare. Phone is now crashing, hanging, apps are freezing and then unfreezing. Returned my Apple Watch (as have hundreds of thousands). Rapidly losing faith in Apple. Please figure out how to resurrect Steve Jobs.
