Speaking of the iPhone 6s Plus release date, we've finally seen some credible details emerge that point to an arrival later this year. 

According to Bloomberg report, early iPhone 6s production has begun ahead of an unknown iPhone 6s Plus release date. It's important to note that the report says early production, not full scale production, which means that the device's release probably isn't imminent. 

In fact, the publication says that it's sources say that full-on production may not begin until July or later. It's not clear. 

While the specific date is unknown, this report helps to solidify an iPhone 6s Plus release in 2015. It specifically calls out two models entering production.

Right now, smart money is on the iPhone 6s Plus release date landing sometime in September alongside Apple's iOS 9 release. The iOS 9 release date is confirmed for the fall. The fall starts on September 23rd which falls in and around the company's usual iOS/iPhone release window. 

The report also says that "final assembly is expected to be smooth because the design of the new iPhones is similar to the current model" though "the timing and production volume of Force Touch-enabled phones could be impacted by the supply and yield of the displays."

Translated, this means that the iPhone 6s Plus could be plagued by shortages when it arrives later this year. That puts a greater importance on any iPhone 6s pre-order that Apple offers ahead of its release date. If you don't pre-order, you might not get the phone until much later in 2015.
