When Can I Buy the iPhone 6s?

With an iPhone 6s launch all but confirmed for the fall (thanks to the iOS 9 release date) and rumors pointing to an arrival in and around the usual launch window, it's safe to assume that you'll be able to replace the iPhone 6 Plus or choose between the iPhone 6s/iPhone 6 Plus sometime around the start of fall.

We've seen several iPhone 6s production rumors suggest that Apple's gearing up for a massive iPhone 6s release later this year. Early production will reportedly start this month before the company kicks it into high gear ahead of the public release ahead of the holidays.

It's important to circle September (in pencil) on the calendar but it's also important to know that analysts are once again predicting that there will be supply problems that hamper the inventory available on and immediately after the device's release. 

The well-connected Ming Chi Kuo claims that "shipments of the new device may get off to a somewhat slow start due to low yield of Force Touch" for the iPhone 6s display. This is not the first credible source to report potential delays.

This is important to know because it means that you might have to make a quick decision between the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6s.

Historically, Apple's iPhones have sold out hours after going on sale. And due to supply strain, they typically don't come back into stock until much later in the year. That's something to keep in mind ahead of the iPhone 6s launch.
