The Activity Feed, Game Hubs and Xbox Live Profiles aren't new. The Xbox One has all three today. What's important here is that Microsoft is building out the functionality for PC gamers and integrating it properly.
Adding Activity Feed updates and browsing for new friends makes a great deal more sense on Windows where you have full-size physical keyboard and you do more social networking. Game Hubs, that is those pages with updates directly from developers and lists of notable players, are easier to browse. Profile customization also makes more sense here than it does on Xbox One. You can change your accent color, add things to your Profile Showcase and completely customize your Xbox Live Avatar from Xbox on Windows 10. The changes you make to your profile also sync back to the Xbox One. |
