OnePlus 2 Specs

The OnePlus 2 will likely come in a few different configurations similar to last year. We're expecting a 1080p model with a lower storage amount for a cheaper price point, then a better 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, sandstone finish, and 64 GB of storage for slightly more, possibly around $449. That's more than the original, but still cheaper than any other flagship smartphone.

Here's what we're hearing will be included with the OnePlus 2 based on comments from the company themselves, and various leaks.

  • 5.5-inch HD Display 1080p and a 2k resolution model
  • 8-core Snapdragon 810 (v2.1) processor
  • 4GB LPDDR4 RAM
  • 13 or 16 megapixel camera
  • Laser Auto-focus (maybe OIS)
  • 8 megapixel front "selfie" camera
  • 3,300 mAh battery
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop based "Oxygen OS"
  • USB Type-C connector for charging, syncing, and more
  • Physical home button with fingerprint scanner for security
  • more

The OnePlus 2 will have some of the best specs of any phone released in 2015. A big display, a powerful 8-core processor, 4GB of RAM, a camera they claim will be much better than last year, and a bigger 3,300 mAh battery. That's better specs than the Galaxy S6, LG G4, HTC One M9 and more.

OnePlus has confirmed the phone will have a fingerprint scanner they claim will be twice as fast and accurate than TouchID on the iPhone 6 or Samsung's Galaxy S6, and the phone will also be one of the first to employ a USB Type-C port on bottom. This will enable faster charging with universal reversible cords, 4k video output, faster data transfer speeds and much more. I can't wait to get my hands on the OnePlus 2.
