Last but not least, aside from the late September release date for the Moto X, the biggest difference and another key aspect is the price. The Galaxy S6 is expensive, while the Moto X is aimed at those on a budget, even though it's still a flagship smartphone.

The Moto X 16GB will be $399 outright, and offer all the customization mentioned above. Then be a little more for the 32 or 64GB, and the wood or leather backs are an additional $25. That said, get the 16GB and throw in a 128GB micro-SD card, and you're only spending around $500.

The 128GB Galaxy S6 though, costs the same $399 price with a new 2-year contract, and is actually $800 outright. What this means is you could actually buy two of the Moto X and a 128GB micro-SD card for nearly the same price of one Galaxy S6 with the same amount of storage.

The Moto X is a wallet-friendly device, that's for sure. All said and done though, it comes down to user preference. In the end we'd recommend you try both in a store like BestBuy before making a purchase decision.

Thank you for a well-written comparison between two flagship phones. Furthermore, this article seems to be unbiased, which I highly appreciate, especially because so many articles on smartphones are impartial nowadays.

I stopped reading as soon as I came to this:
“We can’t give one a nod vs the other as I’ve yet to try the new Moto X, but the Galaxy S6 feels like one of the most premium smartphones available. It will be hard for Motorola to match that, even if buyers choose a wood or leather back to give it a premium feel.”

You write an article attempting to compare the phones head to head, but have no access to one of them.
That makes this article worthless and not much more than click-bait. Write it again when you get your hands on the new Moto X.

What? He said he can’t give a nod. Can you read?

Can you? Even writing an article attempting to compare two things when you don’t have one of them to make the comparison is useless. That was the point I made. Which you either ignored or missed. Wether they “give a nod” or not is irrelevant.

I have a brain but haven’t tried either phone. Someone who has tried them both should compare them not me or Cory Gunther. The audacity of Cory is beyond belief.
