Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumors have been brought to life by a new set of Galaxy Note 5 images that show us what the device could look like when it arrives next month.

Samsung hasn’t announced the Galaxy Note 5 yet but it’s clear that device will land next month alongside a brand new Galaxy S6 Edge+. Earlier this week, Samsung sent out invitations for an Unpacked event in New York on August 13th and it’s there that the company will announce its Galaxy Note 4 successor.

The Galaxy Note 5 isn’t official but rumors and leaks have been able to pinpoint most of its vitals including the most important Galaxy Note 5 specs, the Galaxy Note 5 release date and the Galaxy Note 5 design. Galaxy Note 5 design rumors have been rampant over the past few weeks and they’ve managed to out several key details including dimensions and build materials.

Over the past few days we’ve seen several Galaxy Note 5 images emerge bringing these rumors to life ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked event in August.

The latest round of images don’t show the Galaxy Note 5 in the flesh but Ivo Maric’s Galaxy Note 5 renders do showcase the latest design details in exquisite detail.

Maric’s new Galaxy Note 5 renders are based on Galaxy Note 5 rumors and they showcase a device that looks very much like a larger version of Samsung’s Galaxy S6. The renders depict a Galaxy Note 5 with metal edges and a glass back similar to the design language Samsung debuted on the Galaxy S6 in February.

In addition, the Galaxy Note 5 images showcase the device’s large display, a home button that will most likely feature a touch-based fingerprint sensor, and a slim form factor that’s rumored to be much thinner than the Galaxy Note 4’s 8.5mm frame. Galaxy Note 5 design rumors have pointed to a 7.1mm design but that, like the rest of the device, remains unconfirmed.

The bottom of the device matches Galaxy Note 5 design rumors as well. Samsung’s next flagship is expected to feature a new S Pen stylus that could look and feel more like a real pen. Galaxy Note 5 S Pen images leaked out a few days ago and it appears that it could feature some big upgrades.

While these Galaxy Note 5 renders come from an enthusiast, we won’t have to wait too much longer to see the real thing. Thanks to a series of credible reports and rumors, the Galaxy Note 5 is now the elephant in the room.

The Next Big Thing is expected to arrive on August 13th with more than just a new design. The Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to have a 5.7-inch display, a brand new Exynos 7 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, 4,000 mAh battery, a 16MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. There’s still no word on how much storage it will have.

The Galaxy Note 5 and its new features are expected to hit shelves shortly after the launch event. Galaxy Note 5 release date rumors point to an arrival on August 21st or much earlier than Samsung’s usual Galaxy Note release window that typically falls between September and November.

Earlier this month, the Galaxy Note 5 variants for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint cruised through the FCC, a necessary step ahead of release. This clearance means that all three of these variants have the green light in the United States. The T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular variants haven’t been cleared at the FCC though both carriers are expected to offer the next Galaxy Note.

The spotlight is expected to be on the Galaxy Note 5 at the company’s Unpacked event though Samsung is rumored to have a Galaxy S6 Edge+ and a new Apple watch competitor up its sleeve as well. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will reportedly share a release date with the Galaxy Note 5.

Research Your Galaxy Note 5 Storage Needs

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 isn't official yet but that doesn't mean that you can't prepare for its arrival. There are a number of things you can do ahead of Samsung's announcement and release and deciding on how much storage you might need is one of them.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 design is reportedly going to be similar to the Galaxy S6's. That means premium build materials but it also means no microSD card slot for expanded storage. If this is true, and it probably is, it's going to put pressure on you to figure out how much internal storage you'll need.

If Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 doesn't feature expandable storage, it'll likely come with several storage options. Those storage options will vary in price. You don't want to pay for storage that you're never going to need so you'll want to think about this ahead of time.

Take a look at your current device, think about how you might use your next phone, and estimate how much storage it will take to feel comfortable. For some of you, it might be 32GB. For others, it might be a 128GB of space.

We don't know how much the Galaxy Note 5 will come with yet but chances are we'll see some sort of combo featuring 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
