The 2015 Moto G is IPx7 certified water-resistant. That means it can be dropped in water for up to 30 minutes, but Motorola doesn't recommend it. The entire device has a nano-coating to protect the internals from water and users just need to let it dry off and it should be fine.
This is a huge additional, given the price, and instantly makes the Moto G for $179 or $219 a great choice for consumers. Being water-resistance gives buyers peace of mind, especially if this is for the kids. |
