Galaxy Note 5 vs Moto X Price

Last but not least, is the price. This is another area where Motorola absolutely outshines everyone, and will without a doubt smash the Galaxy Note 5. That said, the Note 5 has a lot more to offer, customization aside.

The Galaxy Note 4 was $799 or more outright from most carriers, and $299 with a new 2-year contract. This year though, we could have a $699 32GB model, and price increases based on internal storage, but it's too early to tell. It also could cost more for the premium design, so we'll have to wait and see. One thing that's 100% clear though, is you'll almost be able to buy two Moto X phones for the price of one Galaxy Note 5.

The 2015 Moto X Pure Edition with the same size screen, more customization, slightly lower specs, a great camera and more, is only $399. That's a massive difference.

That said, $399 only gets you the 16GB model, and most likely $429 will be what they ask for 32GB which should match the base Galaxy Note 5. Wood or leather backs are $25, which still puts the Moto X a few hundred dollars less than the Galaxy Note 5.

The Moto X will be an excellent stock Android smartphone full of customization, great performance, a huge screen, and won't break the bank.

However, Motorola isn't selling the Moto X through any carriers in the United States. They ditched them all for trying to control everyone, and are selling it outright on Motorola.com, Best Buy, or Amazon. That means you can't get it on contract for less, or make monthly like most US carriers offer, which is one way users will be able to get a Note 5 for around $27-$30 a month.

The jury is still out on both of these devices, and it's clear the Galaxy Note 5 is the better device, but is it worth hundreds of dollars more? That, is up to you.

Samsung is going to lose a lot of buyers to the Note 5 by not offering the Micro sd card slot, the Motorola X Style offers the card slot and a more affordable phone,Samsung an its Project-Zero with the Galaxy S6 and Note 5 as been a disappointment for a lot of Galaxy phone users

Couple typos. On the first page you say the note might be out “April 21”

Second is “it’s”. It is a contraction, not an ownership word. For example, ” Samsung and its phone ” is correct. Not “Samsung and it is phone”

TouchWiz. That right there is enough for me to never buy a Samsung phone.
