You can trade in Madden 15 at Best Buy ahead of time and pre-order to get a Madden 16 deal that drops as low as $8 after you stack all possible savings.

Not all Best Buy stores will open for the Madden 16 release date events. You can check this list of stores by state to see if your location plans to be open at midnight.

So far there is no official confirmation of a midnight GameStop Madden 16 release date event, but it is something that we expect to see soon. We are already seeing some individual GameStop locations mention events that start at 10PM Eastern with a tailgate party and a Madden tournament with a prize. We’ll update when GameStop shares specific midnight Madden 16 release date plans.

Gotta Be Mobile spotted someone organizing a Madden 16 tournament for a Microsoft Store starting at 7PM on August 24th and wrapping up by midnight. The organizer claims 2 Chainz will call the last match over a PA at 11:30 PM. There is no mention of this on the Microsoft Store, but given the Madden 16 bundle this makes sense. The prize is an Xbox One or a Surface Pro, according to the organizer.

While not as fast as buying Madden 16 digitally, pre-loading and playing right at 12:01 AM, these events are faster than waiting for stores to open in the morning or for a delivery. The digital Madden 16 pre-orders are also playable at 9:01 PM pacific for users on the west coast. As it is 12:01 AM Eastern you can play the new Madden, so some users will be playing at 10 PM and 11 PM local time on August 24th, instead of waiting until August 25th.
