The iPhone 6s release date is heavily rumored for September 18th or September 25th with September 18th thought to be the company's initial release date. That fits Apple's usual iPhone release protocol and it means that we could see the iOS 9 release date land for the iPhone 5s on September 16th. 

Apple tends to release its iOS updates a couple of days before it releases brand new iPhones. So, there's a very good chance that September 16th will be the day that Apple releases iOS 9 to the iPhone 5s and all of the devices capable of running iOS 8.
