The new Apple TV 4 is set to be the biggest change to the Apple TV in years with a focus on new Siri controls, a motion remote with Wii-like functionality and it will also likely be the center of your connected home.

Rumors also indicate Apple is working on a $40 a month streaming TV service that would allow users with an Apple TV to ditch traditional cable in favor of a direct to the Apple TV streaming service. The odds are good that this streaming service would also deliver entertainment to the iPhone and iPad like HBO Now does.

9to5Mac reports that Gaming and Siri will play a major role in the new Apple TV 4 and there will be support for gaming on the Apple TV 4 that can connect to Bluetooth controllers to deliver a more immersive gaming experience than AirPlay and an iPad did for the current Apple TV.

With Siri on the invitation and rumored as a major feature it looks like the new Apple TV 4 will allow users to control the device and possibly other accessories that connect to it with voice control. Expect an Apple TV app store to support the new hardware and gaming abilities.

Expect to see the new Apple TV 4 on stage at the September 2015 Apple Event, and then be able to buy it in October for $149 to $199.
