Moto 360 2nd Gen vs Apple Watch: 5 Key Differences

The Apple Watch comes in two sizes as mentioned above, and thee options: stainless steel, anodized aluminum or 18-karat gold. The square or rectangle shape isn’t our favorite, and the Apple Watch looks a bit chunky compared to the sleek Moto 360. Then of course there is the dial on the side, which is called a digital crown, but more on that later.

The Moto 360 body is stainless steel and comes in three colors. Silver, Black, and Gold. It's just a gold color, not 18k, but it also doesn't cost over $1,000 either. In fact, it's only a $30 charge to get the Gold Moto 360 2nd Gen, but another $50 to get the Gold Stainless Steel strap, vs a standard leather or silicon rubber strap.

The design is all a personal preference, and many users enjoy the Apple Watch. Myself, I'm a fan of the big round watch-like style of the Moto 360. The new 2nd Gen Moto 360 will be in Best Buy stores soon, so try them both before deciding on one vs the other. It's also worth noting a new Apple Watch could make an appearance on September 9th when the iPhone 6s is revealed.

Because a watch has a round design, it does not make it a better watch or a better choice. It’s simply a personal preference. The flat tire feature is dreadful and it ruins the watch. More emphasis should have been made to better implement this sensor and not make it so distracting.

I feel like the sapphire screen would have been a big pro to bring up with the Apple Watch. It’s not a option for the Moto 360. It’s worth the extra $200 to many.
