iOS 9 Release Date & Time: 7 Things to Know Before Launch

"Will I Get iOS 9?"

This is a question that we've been getting a lot in the days leading up to the iOS 9 release date and we want to issue a final PSA for those of you that may have missed the memo. 

The iOS 9 update will come to all devices running iOS 8. That means the iPad 2 and that means the aging iPhone 4s. This will be the iPad 2's fifth major update and the iPhone 4s' fourth major iOS update. It's the first iPhone to run five versions of iOS. 

If you're coming from Android, know that iOS updates don't work the same way. Instead of a staggered release, Apple releases its iOS updates all at once. So if the iOS 9 release date is September 16th at 9:59AM, that's when it will land for the iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and others.
