Now that we know everything about Apple’s much-improved iPhone 6s Plus, buyers are likely considering all of their options.

There are a lot of big-screen smartphones available in 2015, and now that Apple’s released its second generation 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus buyers have a tough decision to make. Last September, Apple unveiled the huge iPhone 6 Plus, and the bigger screen made it one of the most popular iPhones ever. This year that same “phablet” is even better with the new iPhone 6s Plus, and below are a few key differences between it and Motorola’s stock Android-powered Moto X Pure Edition for 2015.

The iPhone has been battling big phones from LG and Samsung for years, but now one more has arrived for users to also consider. Rather than keep the same small 5.2-inch screen as past models, this year the Moto X Pure Edition has a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display. The screen is huge, but the device is really small due to thin bezels around the screen. It’s also very powerful, highly customizable, and has a micro-SD slot making storage a cheap addition, compared to the $100 premium Apple charges customers.

As expected, Apple stuck to its usual 2-year release cycle with the “s” this year, and the new iPhone 6s Plus looks just like the model before it. They are idential, but it’s much improved on the inside. Apple beefed up the internals, added a faster processor, tossed in an improved 12MP iSight camera, added new features with iOS 9 and much more. There’s a lot to consider, and we’ll only touch on a few main areas here today.

If a big smartphone is something you’ve been debating, considering all phones keep getting bigger and bigger, check out the slideshow below full of details. It goes over everything that’s new with the iPhone 6s Plus, and how those features and specs compare to Motorola’s latest. Most will choose one or the other based on Android or iOS, but if you’re on the fence, we have all the details.

iPhone 6s Plus vs Moto X: Display

One thing almost all buyers will consider is the screen size. A device that's too big is no fun, not to mention will barely fit in pockets and is hard to use with one hand. This year for the second year in a row Apple has a huge 5.5-inch smartphone. At the same time, the new Moto X is big too. In fact, it has a bigger display but is a smaller, easier to hold, more pocketable device.

Apple's new iPhone 6s Plus comes with a big 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p "Retina Display" which is pretty decent for the size. The new 2015 Moto X though, has a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD (2k) resolution display. It's bigger and has a higher resolution.

When it comes to which will actually look better, we can't say until we get our hands on it. At the same time, the iPhone 6s Plus staying at 1080p means the higher pixel count on the Moto X should provide a better visual experience.

The image above shows the Moto X compared to the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy S6. This comparison gives users an idea of what to expect in terms of pysical size. While the Moto X has a bigger 5.7-inch screen with a higher resolution, and dual front-facing speakers, it's still smaller than the iPhone 6s Plus.

Making it easier to hold and use, more pocketable, and more comfortable. That said, the iPhone surely has a better build quality, which we'll talk about next.
