One area that Apple has excelled for years, but needed to improve this year was the camera. They finally ditched the 8MP camera they've used for years, and added an improved 12 megapixel camera with a large sensor to capture more light and detail. Apple lost the "best cameraphone" crown to Samsung last year, and hopes to regain it with the 6s and 6s Plus.

However, Motorola made huge strides on this front as well, after having mediocre cameras for years. It was rated 2nd, just behind the Galaxy Note 5, which bodes well for Motorola. Meaning it could be better than the iPhone 6, but we can't compare it to the iPhone 6s Plus as no one has gotten their hands on the camera yet.

The Moto X has a 20 megapixel rear camera that we're hearing is pretty impressive, and the front camera has its own flash too. Selfies should look great on both of these phones, and photos in general will be excellent. They'll both have one of the top 3-4 cameras of any smartphone, and buyers can't go wrong with either one.
