Verizon iPhone 6s Deal Cuts Price With Trade in Bonuses

A new Verizon iPhone 6s deal allows iPhone 6 owners to slash the price of upgrading to a new iPhone 6s in half and there are very good trade-in deals for owners upgrading from the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 Plus as well.

Apple is still very much in control of the iPhone 6s pricing so these are not traditional iPhone 6s deals that deliver a discount right off the bat, but if you go to a Verizon store you can get a Verizon Gift card that you can immediately use to buy the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. If you want you could also use this for the now cheaper iPhone 6.

Cut the amount you pay for the iPhone 6s in half with a new iPhone trade-in promo at Verizon.

If you go to a Verizon company store you can get the trade-in promotion immediately and use it as a down payment towards your iPhone 6s purchase that will make your monthly payments on a Verizon Device Payments plan smaller.

Here is how much Verizon will give you for your old iPhone starting September 12th through October 15th. This does not need to be a Verizon iPhone that you trade-in to get the bonus.

• iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s – $100
• iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c – $200
• iPhone 5s – $300
• iPhone 6 – $350
• iPhone 6 Plus – $400

To get this trade-in value you need to buy an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus from Verizon. If you are not eligible for an upgrade during this promotion period you are likely out of luck.

You can use this to pay down the total cost of your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus. This will lower the monthly payments that you make for next 24 months.

For instance, if you trade in an iPhone 5s, you will get $300 towards your iPhone 6s purchase. If you buy the 16GB iPhone 6s, the payments with that downpayment would be less than $15 a month for 24 months.  For comparison the monthly payments without a trade in on that same phone are $27.08. With the iPhone 5s or newer you nearly cut your iPhone 6s upgrade in half.

Be sure to check your email because Verizon is offering some early iPhone 6s upgrades to users who want to buy a new iPhone 6s on the Device Payment Plans.

Keep in mind you can sell your iPhone on eBay or Craigslist for a higher amount in some cases. There are also many iPhone trade-in services that will pay you in cash for your old iPhone that you can use on a purchase outside of a Verizon Store.

The new 3D Touch display on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus makes a plethora of features possible, some of which we will break out into sections. In short the new iPhone 6s display is the same size and resolution as the iPhone 6 display, but it can now tell the difference between a tap, a press and a deeper press. This allows users to call up secondary actions in many apps and on the home screen as well as in games. The video above shows the new 3D Touch display on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Even though the iPhone 6s display looks very similar to the iPhone 6 and both phones run iOS 9, you cannot use these new features on the old iPhone because the technology is not there. 3D Touch display actions work on the home screen, in Apple apps and in third-party apps.
