Small but Impressive Features

I became familiar with iOS 9 through the iOS 9 beta but I never used the early software on a daily basis. It was too buggy for my tastes. And while I became acquainted with big features like News and Notes, I overlooked many of the smaller features that arrived with the public iOS 9 release. I'm loving several of them.

I like how my phone buzzes once it's 100% charged. This alert allows me to more efficiently manage my devices. My desk is covered with them and most of the time they're half charged.

While some people hate the new look to the keyboard, I love it. I like how Apple's approached texting with the lower case letters. The way it's set up in iOS 8 is confusing.

The new smart search is amazing. Simply type 49ers into search and it will bring up the latest scores, highlights and more. It can do a lot more than that though.

And I absolutely love the new Battery Usage tool. It allows me to better track the apps using up the most juice when the screen is on and when the screen is off. I'll be checking this tool an unhealthy amount throughout the year.

So while you might discover the iOS 9 update because of the features Apple's highlighting, know that there are tons of smaller sometimes hidden features that can increase your productivity, save some battery life, and more.
