The video starts with Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb and 343 Industries’ Josh Holmes detailing Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition. There’s a Steelbook case, and a package of Dossier cards for each of the teams featured in the Halo 5 story: Fire team Osiris and Blue Team. Another packet included in the Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition package contains a physical copy of the orders provide to Agent Jameson Locke. Locke leads Fire team Osiris and is tasked with hunting down Master Chief John 117. This version of Halo 5 comes with a metal Guardian statue that players have to assemble themselves. The two video hosts touch on it briefly before moving on to two more key extras included in the $99 Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition.
Any one who purchases Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition gets 14 days of Xbox Live absolutely free of charge. Buyers also get access to the Fall of Reach animated series and a code for unlocking items in the multiplayer’s requisition system. There are 14 different Requisition Packs unlocked with this code.
The video continues with details about the $249.99 Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition. This version of the game includes the Steelbook case and other extras, but drops the physical copy of Halo 5: Guardians. Microsoft says it did this so that users can pre-download the game ahead of release day. According to this video, digital downloads for the game will start on October 20th. The statue included with the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition has both John 117 and Spartan Locke with guns raised. The statue splits in half.
Next there’s the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition Xbox One Bundle. Microsoft has shown off this $499 console bundle before. It comes with all the extras of the Limited Edition, plus a 1TB Xbox One with etchings and a custom paint job to match the armor that Spartan Jameson Locke wears in the game. There’s also a custom controller. Microsoft has customized the sounds of the Xbox One in this bundle so that they’re more in tune-in with the Halo universe. Ejecting discs and turning the console on or off has sounds from the Halo games. There’s a custom class Fotus Armor code for multiplayer boxed with this bundle too.
In all, the video runs a solid 8 minutes. Also discussed are the Halo 5 custom controllers and a special pair of Astro A40 headphones launching along with the game.

Halo 5: Guardians is available for pre-order now at retailers like GameStop and Microsoft’s own online store. Halo 5: Guardians will act as the main attraction in Microsoft’s holiday games line-up. The company is hoping that heavy investment in its own franchise will mean higher sales of its console the world-over. So far, Sony’s PS4 has lead home console sales, but it has a light selection of exclusive titles this holiday season.
