Last but not least is the price. Smartphones aren't cheap. The Note 5 is over $700, and even the LG G4 is over $500 from most places. Finding a great phone that won't break the bank is hard.

Sure the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition is a pretty great phone for $399, but that's only 16GB of storage, it's too big for many being 5.7-inches, and it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner or USB Type-C. With the Nexus 5X you get it all. It might not be the most attractive phone, but it sure has a lot to offer.

We're hearing Google looks to stick to the same pricing as the 2013 Nexus 5, which was one of the most successful Nexus phones to date.

That means that on September 29th Google may announce, and release (pre-orders) the new Nexus 5X starting at just $349 or $399 for the 16GB model, and then $399 or $449 for the 32GB version.

That makes this one of the best bang-for-your-buck phones around. This all said, it's worth waiting at least a few weeks for Google's announcement on the 29th, reviews to arrive, and more information before buying something else here near the end of September.
