If you were hoping for a game-changing battery life boost from the iPhone 6 iOS 9 update, you'll probably want to temper your expectations. While we've seen some improvements, it feels pretty similar to how the phone handled on iOS 8. 

Apple promises up to an hour long battery life boost with iOS 9. The iOS 9 update also brings a new Low Power Mode that can help you conserve battery in dire situations by shutting off certain settings. 

Low Power Mode is amazing and one of our favorite iOS 9 features. The battery life boost isn't as tangible. There have been days where we've noticed a bit of a uptick but we're still getting the same 8-10 hours of with a combination of Wi-Fi and LTE. The difference between iOS 8 and iOS 9, at least for us, hasn't been very noticable. 

Mileage is going to vary but you shouldn't expect to see an hour long bump every single time you use the iPhone 6.
