I have updated from 7 to 8.4, and my phone become a slow motion phone, then come the 9.02 and I have clean all (reset) phone, app and configurations (factory reset) and do a fresh install to 9.02, and all work OK and more fast…

My wife an I both have an iPhone 4s which have operated smoothly on the previous iOS platforms.unfotunatley since updating to iOS 9.0
9.01& the latest 9.02 problems with the phone have arisen, which seem to include shorter battery life, slower internet browsing and most annoyingly the phone freezing up!
I initially felt my phone was on its way out but my wife is also experiencing these problems????

I am experiencing the same exact problems as I just updated to 9.01…. Any ideas on how to get relief from this POS upgrade? I have an iPhone 4s that worked great until this update screwed everything up!

Apple convienantly “signed off” on the 8.4 revert. Herd of planned obsolescence? Look into the recent class action case filed against Apple for allegedly planning to kill off old devices with bugged upgrades.

I’m having the same issues. It is very frustrating. Is this happening because they are trying to force us to upgrade to a 5or 6? won’t happen with me, I will go to an android if that is the case.

Same here. Struggling with the connection to wifi. It’s either auto unhook or can’t scan wifi. The phone iPhone 4s just freezes. iPhone 5s also equally sucks after upgrading to iOS 9.0.2

I bought new iPhone 4s less than 2 years ago [iPhone 5 (too big and too expensive) had just come out]. Loved it, especially as it fitted my trouser pocket and did everything I wanted. IOS updates failed each time. That was good luck rather than judgement. Unfortunately app designers are requiring IOS 8 & 9 but after seeing others experiences with updates, I won’t be doing it. It is a totally reprehensible cynical ploy by Apple to force one to buy a new phone before the old one is dead. My next phone will be Windows based to fit in with my home computing. Sadly, finding a competent phone robust enough and small enough to fit my trouser pocket may be difficult.

I recently bought a second hand iphone 4s. Initially I was really pleased. Then it offered the is09 and I upgraded. Then the problems started. I could not add a contact. Instead, I have to take an old ‘contact’ and edit it – so primitive it’s unbelievable. Then it stopped sending text alerts. It took me ages to find a solution – I kept looking at the settings, thinking I had done something wrong. Then I read it helped if you just switched off the phone, then back on again. I’m just now waiting for the next bug and am thinking of taking it back to the shop (offered a 1 year guarantee) to see what they say. Shame. It seems a well made device. Good signal even in a bad signal area. Nice size and feels the business. I read about the controversy of Apple and their IS09 alleged conspiracy with their older phones. It’s a perfectly good piece of hardware in my view.
