If video game console makers bundle the right game, they know they’ll see sales of their consoles rise. Both the Xbox One and PS4 have ridden exclusive console bundles to higher sales. Microsoft is in the midst of turning around the Xbox One this fall and holiday season. With PS4 exclusives looking slim, the company is pulling every trick it has in its arsenal to get its consoles off store shelves and into homes. Xbox One bundles that include free games are a big part of the company’s strategy.

Microsoft isn’t sticking to a single console bundle though. Instead, it’s rolling out a huge line-up of Xbox One consoles. All of these bundles come with at least a single free game. Some of them have a custom paint job with a matching controller. Here’s your guide to all of Microsoft’s holiday 2015 bundles so that you know which Xbox One bundle you should buy this holiday season.

Xbox One With Kinect Bundle $499

It wasn’t until this week that Microsoft did its major refresh of the Kinect + Xbox One Bundle. Called the Xbox One with Kinect Bundle, the Xbox One, comes with a solid black console and three different family-ready games: Kinect Sports Rivals, Zoo Tycoon and Dance Central Spotlight. Dance Central and Kinect Sports are both complete motion games that let users play without a controller.

Xbox One EA Sports FIFA 16 Bundle

The Xbox One EA Sports FIFA 16 Bundle costs $399, but that price is deceiving. Besides a 1TB Xbox One, buyers of this bundle get a full copy of FIFA 16 and a year of EA Access. EA Access is the subscription service that lets Xbox One owners download a ton of game’s from Electronic Arts’ digital Vault.

Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle $349

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is an anniversary marker, a celebration of the original Gears of War release for the Xbox 360. The Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle includes Gears of War Ultimate Edition, plus digital versions every other Gears of War game that ever came to the Xbox 360. This console comes with 500GB of storage and a $349 price tag. There’s also the Xbox One Special Edition Gears of War Bundle, available exclusively at Wal-Mart. It’s identical to the regular bundle but the console and controller come in white instead of black.

Xbox One Forza Motorsport 6 Bundle $399

$399 gets Holiday 2015 Xbox One shoppers a custom colored Xbox One, complete with a matching controller. The Xbox One Forza 6 Bundle includes a blue 1TB Xbox One that has logos and insignias for Forza 6. It and it’s included controller is painted blue to match the Ford supercar that’s featured in Forza 6.

Xbox One Holiday Bundle $399

 

For those on a true nostalgia kick there’s the Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle. The console comes with digital versions of two very big releases for lovers of classic games: Gears of War Ultimate Edition and Rare Replay. Lovers of platforming games will appreciate the bundled copy of Ori and the Blind Forest, despite it being one of the hardest they’ll likely play all year. This is one of the holiday 2015 bundles Microsoft announced this week.

Xbox One Lego The Movie Videogame Bundle $349

Lego: The Movie was a pretty popular movie. The game associated with the move was pretty popular too. Microsoft is bundling Xbox One The Lego Movie Videogame with an Xbox One console that has 500GB of storage. The Xbox One Lego the Movie Videogame Bundle is another console Xbox One bundle that Microsoft announced this week.

Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5 Guardians Bundle $499

The Halo 5 Guardians Xbox One console isn’t black. It’s silver and blue to match the suit that Spartan Jameson Locke wears in Halo 5 Guardians, the upcoming first person shooter. $499 gets shoppers the console – complete with custom sound profile – a wireless controller, and all sorts of limited time extra. Also, there’s a copy of Halo 5 Guardians. The Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5 Guardians Bundle costs $499.

Microsoft shocked everyone at the Electronic Entertainment Expo when it announced an Xbox One Wireless Controller with interchangeable joystick surfaces, removable paddles and a dedicated switch for changing how all its buttons work in different games. Microsoft shocked everyone again when it unveiled the Xbox One Elite Bundle.

The Elite Xbox One Bundle costs $499 and comes with the $149.99 Xbox One Wireless controller. The console has a 1TB hard drive too, but it’s a hybrid drive meaning it stores frequently used stuff on flash memory so that it can start up faster. Microsoft doesn’t include any free games with this Xbox One Bundle.

Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle $399

$399 gets shoppers an Xbox One with 1TB of storage and digital copies of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition this coming November. The Microsoft Store and every major retailer around the world will carry the Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle.

Kinect Xbox One Bundle $499

The original Xbox One Bundle is still around, though it’s decidedly not a great deal for anyone – even those who want a Kinect. Some retailers — including Microsoft’s own retail stores — still offer the Kinect with Xbox One Bundle for $499.

This all-black Xbox One Bundle comes with 500GB of storage, but makes up for that with an included Kinect sensor. The Kinect allows users to give their console commands, play motion games without picking up a controller and have the Xbox One communicate with their television, audio equipment and set-top box. For example, turning the console on is as simple as saying Xbox, on. This bundle doesn’t come with any free games, depending on where you purchase it. The Microsoft Store sells this bundle with a copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle $399

November 10th marks the official Fallout 4 release date, and Microsoft is making it easier on users who still have a PS3 or Xbox 360. The Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle includes a digital copy of Fallout 4 a Black Xbox One console that has 500GB of storage. Shoppers also get a digital version of Fallout New Vegas, a game that originally launched on the Xbox 360.

Xbox One EA Sports Madden NFL 16 Bundle $399

The Xbox One EA Sports Madden NFL 16 Bundle costs $399 and includes a digital copy of Madden NFL 16 and a free year of EA Access. The Microsoft Store still sells the bundle for $399.

Remember to go with the Xbox One that includes the games you want for the most savings. Don’t hesitate too look for older Xbox One bundles from the summer and spring to save you a bit of money too.     Thing I don’t get is. Why is Kinect very underutilized. 15 games. That’s it? Out of a hundred?
