Start Gathering Feedback About Android 6.0

Taking your time with Android 6.0 Marshmallow is important, especially if you have an older device like the Nexus 7 2013. Older devices typically have a harder time with new software so you're going to want to be extremely careful.

We recommend gathering feedback about your update before installing. To do that, you'll want to keep your eyes on social media sites like Twitter, YouTube, and on Google's own Nexus Help Forums. As we push away from the initial release date, we should see users share their thoughts on the update, its features and its performance.

You'll also want to check back in with us. We'll be supplying our own impressions of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and offering a full review of the software.

The title is wrong I think, should be “Some time” not “sometime” :)

You can also use multirom as well and load up Lollipop as a fallback.

After my 6 upgrade, battery life went way down. I checked everything in this article and then some. Got rid of battery app even. What I found is the wi-fi was on even though it was set to be off when asleep – the only way was to manually turn off wi-fi and that cut the drain. I use a Kindle app so I don’t know if that was a contributor or not. Could there be a bug in the OS for the wi-fi sleep?

in my case I had used a fake APN to disable regular internet traffic while keeping mms and other free data. That seriously drained the battery fast.

On my nexus 6, I lost the ringer disable timeline option. No longer can I select permanent. temporary or on when I use my volume button on the phone side. I also get a phantom notification box on the status bar at the top of the screen.

My volume turns itself back on from having it muted. Is there a fix for that yet?

After the automatic Marshmellow install on my Samsung S5, the WiFi is ALWAYS switching on by itself.
I have not installed any apps since it upgraded.
