You Might Want to Wait for iOS 9.1

We've been monitoring the iPhone 4s iOS 9 update for the three weeks its been available. And what we've heard is that the update is great for some users, alright for some users, and horrible for some iPhone 4s users. It's a mixed bag. Not that this comes as any surprise to us.

The iPhone 4s is four years old. Older phones always have trouble with newer updates, even ones that promise performance enhancements like iOS 9.

We've heard complaints about iOS 9.0, iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2. We've also heard really good things about the iOS 9.1 beta. The update won't be perfect but we're hearing that it might help on older devices like the iPhone 4s. No guarantees.

If you're feeling nervous, and you're still on iOS 8.4.1 or below, our advice is to wait for iOS 9.1. If you're already on iOS 9, know that the iOS 9.0.2 update comes with some excellent fixes for the most iOS 9 problems.
