Don't Expect Every Country to Get It At Once

When the Apple TV 4 goes on sale next week, it will be available in 80 countries right from the get go. That's more than an iPhone. The United States is among the list of countries getting the Apple TV 4 next week.

Apple's new box won't be limited to just 80 countries though. The company has confirmed plans to expand the device to 100 countries by the end of the year. So if you wake up Monday and don't see the Apple TV on sale, there's a good chance you'll get it by the end of the year.

Just remember, only eight countries will get the Siri Remote. Those countries include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S.

3 years in the making and they left 4K out? Most TV’s can do 4K now. Netflix and Amazon both have 4K content, it looks amazing. What can this Apple TV do that my old one can’t? Play games? LOL

Most TVs cannot do 4K and most content and Internet connections are not ready.

Ya cable only streams at 1080i or 1080p in some instances. There is almost no true 4k content available to even watch on a 4k device. The few movies there are on the market are really just upscaled 1080p (or lower) movies. It would take two Blue Ray disks to even hold a true 4k movie. Ironically, games are probably the only thing that could potentially utilize 4k, but even Xbox One and Sony couldn’t handle that graphics processing. As far as Apple goes, I’m sure the company who brought one of the first (and the first affordable) 5k monitors to market will include 4k when the content catches up to the technology. They also happen to have given way to the 4k movement with their retina technology, which were the first screens to market to have resolutions that were high enough that the human eye couldn’t discern any pixels.
