Disappointing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Release Date News

Published

on

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date bucks the standard of a Tuesday arrival, and we’ve learned that the game will also go against a long-standing Call of Duty release date trend as well.

The Black Ops 3 release date weekend is going to be part of a big event that allows players to get in more time right after the release, but there will not be a Double XP weekend.

We typically see a Double XP weekend when the new Call of Duty game arrives on consoles and PC, but David Vonderhaar, Studio Design Director at Treyarch, confirmed that this will not happen.

There is no Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date Double XP weekend.

There is still a chance that there will be Black Ops 3 Double XP weekends, but this is not happening on the days after the release date.

One reason that gamers enjoy the Double XP weekends while playing Call of Duty is that the multiplayer system unlocks new weapons and perks as you level up. You earn XP in the game as you complete objectives and rack up kills. The better you are, the faster you level up and gain access to better guns, gun upgrades, perks and other weapons.

For casual players a Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend is an easy time to level up and unlock a bunch of weapons that would normally take many more matches to unlock.

One of the possible reasons that there is no special weekend during Black Ops 3 release date is that many players will be racing to Prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and Double XP may make that happen faster than Treyarch would like.

Gamers can still earn Double XP for Black Ops 3 Zombies mode through purchases of Mountain Dew and Doritos.

I haven’t bought a COD game since Black Ops II. I’ve bought BLOPS III now, and my first impressions are that the campaign seems to have been made for people with attention deficit disorder lol… Maybe I’m just getting old, but the constant, none stop action is mentally draining. I dislike how the world/the levels have been created not to be explored, but to be ran through. It’s almost as if the game is scared of what you might find if you were to slow down for a second to take it all in. Not only is this need to rush the player reflected in the game design, but annoyingly, it’s also reflected in the constant ”HURRY UP SOLDIER!!!!”(in the first two chapters I’ve probably heard 30 variations of this same line) that my AI companions keep screaming at me every 10 seconds. These criticisms aside, I’m having quite a bit of fun with it. As always with COD, the shooting feels fantastic.
But what I really purchased this game for was the Zombies mode, and man, it hasn’t disappointed me one bit, my first impressions of the Zombies mode is that it’s probably the best that Treyarch has ever made, so I’m extremely happy with this! And to read this review and find out that there are more zombie modes awaiting me… awww I’m so glad I bought this game now haha!

Play the campaign solo on realistic mode then tell me it’s to fast paced. I did and it was one of the slowest campaigns I have played. It turned from a run and gun to a cover to cover shooter.

They were waiting until Battlefront came out to do double xp, it is just a guess but I bet they will do it this weekend, the reason why I am guessing this is because they did double xp during the weekend of Battlefront Beta, IDK for sure though.
