You can’t get a look at the Walmart Black Friday 2015 ad just yet, but the first taste of Black Friday 2015 arrives this Sunday at Walmart where the retailer promises to start the holiday shopping season with deals that don’t ask you to wait until a single day or deal with “this weekend only” style offers.

Starting Sunday the first Walmart Black Friday 2015 deal is a $199 iPad mini 2, offering up savings of $70.

Walmart is stealing a page from Apple’s playbook this year with a bigger push to get consumers to go into the store not just for the Walmart Black Friday 2015 deals, but also for all kinds of shopping throughout the season.

On Sunday November 1st Walmart will kick off eight weeks of deals and savings for the holiday shopping season. The company does not call this an early Black Friday offer, but we are essentially looking at the start of this shopping season on Sunday.

One of the deals that we will see as part of these early Black Friday 2015 deals at Walmart is the iPad Mini 2 for $199 starting Sunday.

The company currently teases, “Black Friday Returns Nov. 27th,” but you don’t need to wait to save. As part of the new holiday deals starting Sunday there will be more price cuts that last 90 days.

Judith McKenna, chief operating officer, Walmart U.S asks consumers to, “trust me.”, when it comes to delivering what consumers want. Part of that is avoiding price jumps that leave consumers wondering when the best deal will be.

Fernando Madeira, president and CEO, Walmart.com tells consumers, “Our customers are looking for great deals no matter how they shop with us – whether in store, online or on their mobile device,” setting up the new Walmart app that will be an essential tool for Walmart shoppers this holiday season.

Walmart In Store Pickup Is App Friendly

While you won’t be using in-store pickup for Walmart Black Friday 2015 deals, you can use it this season to simplify your shopping with same day pickup options and deliveries to the store.

While the competition is offering free delivery on all orders or on lower priced orders, Walmart sticks to a $50 minimum for free home delivery and offers free in store pickup.

Consumers can now use the Walmart app to check in when they arrive at the store for a faster and easier pickup option. The video above shows how this process works and highlights the new “Search My Store” feature that will help you find an item in a Walmart location.

The app also contains a new Wish List option that lets you scan price tags to create a wish list for the holiday shopping season.
