Remember, even if you bought a physical copy of Fallout 4, you'll still be required to download from Steam. Tough luck.

The disc you receive from your retailer or in the mail doesn't come with the full version of the game. So says Bethesda's Pete Hines. You will need to download files and you will also need to activate your copy of Fallout 4 through Steam.

This isn't ideal, particularly for those of you with slow internet connections, but there is no getting around this.

If you are planning to install and play this game the second you're able, you'll want to make sure that you have a ton of free time on your hands. It could take awhile to download and install.
