Target Buy 2 Get 1 Free Deal Offers Free Xbox & PS4 Games

Thanks to a new deal on games ahead of the official start of the Holiday 2015 buying season, shoppers at one retailer can get Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Fallout 4 and other Xbox One and PS4 games for free when they purchase two others.

Target kicked off its Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal on Xbox One and PS4 games this past Sunday. The deal itself covers tons of games including some of the new releases that debuted this fall. What’s more, the Xbox One and PS4 games deal extends to games for PCs running Microsoft’s Windows operating system, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Wii U. Target’s website shows a total of 1281 games available with the deal online.

To take advantage of the Target Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal users need to purchase two other games available at the retailer in full. Anyone that makes the purchase online needs to add the third game to their card at the time of purchase. Target Stores are running the deal in store for those shoppers who simply aren’t comfortable with purchasing games online. In store, the deal should work the same way. Target’s online Current Promotions page for the deal indicates that Target will offer the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal for Xbox One and PS4 games until November 14th.

There couldn’t be a better time for Target to start offering this Buy 2 Get 1 Free  deal for shoppers. There are tons of recent releases that are worth picking up. Both the Xbox One and PS4 come with free games, but it’s not a bad idea to look into picking up even more games with there are some sales to take advantage of.

Fallout 4 arrives on Target’s store shelves tomorrow. At the beginning of the game, players create a character who’s immediately sent to a Vault shelter during at the start of a nuclear war. The player mysteriously escapes that vault two-hundred years after they first went in, with no idea of why they were in the Vault for so long or what happened in the outside world afterward. Fallout 4 costs $59.99. The game is coming to the Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PCs only.

Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives tomorrow, but only for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. In this game Lara Croft journey’s to Siberia to learn the secret of eternal life. Video game developer Crystal Dynamics focused on bringing the environment around players to life. There’s a more robust crafting system, with a day and night cycle governing when animals and resources appear. Players need to kill animals and search for resources to craft better weapons and materials. Rise of the Tomb Raider also costs $59.99.

Since recent Xbox One and PS4 game releases are covered, Target’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal also means users can pick up Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and Halo 5: Guardians free. Black Ops 3 arrived on store shelves last Friday. It features a brand new story with co-operative multiplayer. There are new customization options and specializations for multiplayer characters, plus a new movement system and futuristic weaponry. The Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game are fully featured and cost $59.99. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game only include the multiplayer experience for $49.99.

Halo 5: Guardians features an all-new Warzone multiplayer mode and story that lets up to four players team up to traverse through it. It focuses on two Spartans, series protagonist John 117 and the team of operatives under Jameson Locke sent to track him down because he won’t take orders from the UNSC. Halo 5: Guardians is also $59.99.

The Microsoft Xbox One starts at $349.99 brand new. The PS4 starts at $349.99 too.
