Clash of Clans December Update: What We Know So Far

In a forum post by the Supercell development team we learned that this update will be about a lot more than just adding new troops, new spells, a new Town Hall and other things. It will be aimed at improving the game for everyone. The developers announced that the December update will change shields, and add a new "village guard concept" but that's all they said. This could be part of the new hero that guards our village, shorter shields for those who Town Hall snipe, and more, but we just don't know what's going to change yet. Rumors around the Clash of Clans forum suggest that the developers want to allow players to protect their village when they aren't on the game. We've all been there, attack a few bases and then turn off your phone, and your base is instantly attacked and you lose a few hundred thousand Gold and Elixir, and more. Of course attacking villages won't go away, as there would be no point to the game, but there will be some new way to protect our villages unlike ever before. iv’e been reading other articles on a vast array of sites for this up coming sneak peak and i found this article to have been the best written. other articles have felt like a copy paste job but at least this person took the time to accually write their own speculations and opinions into the so far disclosed facts. the writer accually conveys a feeling that they have played this game and over all conveys to me a feeling that the writer accually cared enough to do a overall great article.

Seems like its gonna be more geared towards new players. Im a high lvl th10 and dont see any benefit to the new shield overhaul at all. Its going to create alot more trophy pushers which in turn will mean i get hit for 300-400k every raid and have no easy way of attaining a shield. I hope supercell knows what theyre doing or youre going to have alot of long termers dropping out.
